This print is a reproduction of the Artist’s original 18”x20” pastel piece. Offering a perspective on life with a military veteran, it depicts the agony of helplessness in witnessing the internal battles of a loved one, as present dangers grow more pressing. Here, Artist pulls from Greek mythology to acknowledge the very real guilt, rage and terror embodied by the three Furies that haunt her partner, often consuming his attention. The sword of Damocles hanging precariously above them both, represents the looming consequences for his neglecting reality - increased isolation, absence of imagination, loss of income, housing instability, relational strife, self-destructive behavior, suicide.
This piece comes with a matboard backing, and packaged in an individual archival sleeve.
